The habit of Thankfulness produces a joy which is immeasurable. Our goal then, is to serve JOY in full abundance, relying only upon the true source of life-giving water capable of sustaining the living. However, there is a preparation which comes before we can administer the meal of thankfulness, it rests in the act of recognition.
To recognize the Divine-Intent of simple moments is to commune with God in everything.
Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you; For everyone that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened for them. ~Matthew 7:7-8 ~
The knocking, seeking, and asking for His presence in our reality is met with the awareness that we have never once been left alone. Thankfulness floods in and fills those empty places which have been draining your heart’s joy. Divine revelation is a gift that comes through the continual communion with the Father and the Son. If we listen, we can hear Him knocking .
- Open, then, the door of your heart to the Father and dine at the table of joyous love, which is never ending.
- Let Him enfold you in the precious covering of His Glory and fill you with the bread of life, and you will never feel hunger.
- Experience the thirst-quenching miracle found in His fellowship, drinking deep of the living water whose continual flow never ceases, and you will find sustenance.
There is a cornucopia of plenty awaiting in the garden of thankfulness, fruit of which there is ample supply: Peace, Joy, Love, Patience, Temperance, Meekness, Self-Control, Generosity, and Kindness. This feast produces a Thankfulness which is genuine and real; it is tangible, transparent, and true. The savoring brings us to a place of abundance, out of which we can serve a meal with glorious delivery… food that meets the needs of each partaker.
Those whom I love, I tell their faults and convict and convince and reprove and chasten. So be enthusiastic and in earnest burning with zeal and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears and listens to and heeds My voice and opens the door, I will come to him an will eat with him and he will eat with me. He who overcomes( is victorious) and I will grant him to sit beside me on My throne, as I Myself overcame and sat down beside My Father on His throne. He who is able to hear, let him listen to and heed what the Holy Spirit says to the churches. ~Revelations 3: 19-22 ~
We do not overcome lack of gratefulness by our own strength, but we do overcome by the might and power of His Holy Spirit, who is ever ready, fully capable, to meet our needs… even before we call. Make Thankfulness a habit which will produce Joy.
Serve the fruits of the Spirit, dine at the table of Mercy, and invest the abundance in one another.
This thanksgiving as you are serving yourself a heaping portion of deliciousness, consider the reasons we are celebrating. Count your blessings, listing them upon the tablet of your heart, and give thanks. Serve a generous helping of gratefulness to all those which surround your table, and remember the generational blessing of making praise and thanksgiving a habit of practice.
The key to joy starts at the door of praise.
With Thankfulness for you!
