Proverbs 24: 13-14 ~ My son, eat honey, because it is good, and the drippings of the honeycomb are sweet to your taste. So shall you know skillful and godly wisdom to be thus to your life; if you find it, then there shall be a future and a reward, and your hope and expectation shall not be cut off.
Wisdom is like the sweet dripping honeycomb which is loaded with nutrients and substance. It is a reflection of perfection and completion. The comb is formed in a way that it will hold the maximum amount of honey in a limited amount of space as the hexagonal design is repeated perfectly throughout the hive. The bees build, clean and restore the hive systematically without once thinking if it is a necessary step to achieve the end result.
The beehive, to me, is a profound reminder of the importance of building our lives on the foundation of His perfect Word.
The parallel of the perfect structure of the bee hive, to fulfill its purpose providentially, is ideally synonymous with to the importance of building our lives upon the wisdom of His Word.
We need to ingest wisdom, to crave it like the sweetness of the liquid gold product of the honeycomb, because it is good. Its very structure contains all that is necessary for the proper building and forging of a life.
Through skillful and godly wisdom we build our lives, homes, and families. Through understanding and wisdom we can establish paths of truth and foundations of grace so that all the rooms, and every vacant space, is filled with precious and pleasant riches. ( Prov 24:3-4)
You can rest assured the product of your diligence will be as sweet and satisfying, life-giving, and healing to all who encounter your path.
May you crave His Wisdom today, eat, and be full!
