Sundays are days we need to soak in His Word, let it resonate in our souls and settle deep into a Sabbath rest of the heart. May the reminder of His promises be a balm to you as we seek Him first in each of our journeys.
When your heart is burdened for the pain and the loss and your faith may waver with doubt…Remember the promises that He has provided in His Word, get lost in the power of its truth. We have a refuge and a very present help in all our times of trouble, a hope that is faithful even when we fall to our knees in fear and confusion.
Scripture reminds us that all things will pass away, yet His Word will remain. It is a sure and stable foundation that we can rely upon when everything else is lost. Today, I needed to be reminded that when God is our refuge, we are never alone. He is with us.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea:
Though the waters roar and foam, though the mountains shake with swelling thereof. Selah.
There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God shall help her, and that right early.
The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
The LORD of hosts is with us: the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah
Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he has made in the earth.
He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow, and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariots in the fire.
Be still and know that I AM God:
I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
Psalm 46
Praying that your heart will recognize I AM in your midst, that His presence will calm your heart, and His promises for you in His Word will strengthen your faith.
Beautiful encouragement!
