Sometimes there is a message that is playing for us to hear but we miss it because we have been listening to the chaos of the swirling storm too long. We allow diversions to happen, simply because we have believed they are sometimes easier than our ability to resist the wind of the world’s whispers. It is hard to trust. It is hard to believe that what HE says about is us true. It is hard to feel like the storms of this life won’t overtake us in the midst of the wet and windy blowing tempests that toss us and threaten to throw us over.
We shouldn’t be afraid of the storms. We are accepted as His from the very moment we accept Him as our own. And in that moment, we are promised hope. We are promised comfort. We are promised a place of refuge in all of our days, good and bad. We are promised words of comfort. We are promised a whisper, but not the world’s way. This one is still and quiet and true.
A message that gives grace to soar over the storms.
There is a message that needs to be played out loud in the noisy crowd and in the wooden pews, in the busy cars and in the bustling marketplace, in the littered kitchen and in the meticulous board room. These are where the storms take place… In our living days.
It is a heavenly reckoning, a calling out of sorts, that has been blaring strong since the Word was inscribed upon our hearts and on pages of vellum thin but strong.
We miss it because we are caught unguarded by its simplicity, or rather the daring way it pushes us to fly. It is an invitation that we easily miss because our ears have become dulled by the white noise that keeps the whisper from reaching deep. The universal has been delivered through the ages, sisters, and unfortunately we haven’t listened to it close enough.
Daughter of Eve, the shame that we willingly wear is not the garment we are called to put on, no matter where we are or what we have done. He weaves a tapestry of grace and mercy to cover us, and adorns our ears with the gentle whisper of hope as a reminder of who He is.
Because, the real truth is that YOU have loveliness inside when you choose to abide in Him.
But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. Is.40:31

🙂 Bless you Ifeoma. Thanks for letting me share words and prayer with you.
Much love!
I loved when you said that we should not be afraid of the storms. I think you are so right. With Jesus we totally should not. We have had lots of storms in our lives and I would not be the person I am today if it was not for those storms. God showed his grace and mercy every step of the way. He drew us closer to him. Thank you for this beautiful post.
Thank you for the encouraging words! Grace is a gift, isn’t it? His grace leads us through the storms right into His embrace. Thrilled you were able to be encouraged.
Blessings!
I’m headed over to see what else you had to say :). Thank you for linking up at Inspire Me Monday!
