Sundays are days we need to soak in His Word, let it resonate in our souls and settle deep into a Sabbath rest of the heart. May the reminder of His promises be a balm to you as we seek Him first in each of our journeys.Join me each Sunday for a reminder to take a soul stop in the power of His Word and be rejuvenated for the week ahead.

isaiah 431-2

But now, thus says the Lord, He Who created you, O Jacob, and He Who formed  you, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed you [ransomed you by paying a price instead of leaving you captives]: I have called you by your name; you are Mine.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you.

For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I give Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in exchange.

Because you are precious in My sight and honored and because I love you, I will give men in return for you and peoples in exchange for your life.

Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east and gather you from the west.

Isaiah 43:1-5

These promises He has left for us, boldly proclaiming victory in our living, they are the baggage we are called to carry. Not the world’s way of packing for the journey, friends, but His Way.  He gives us all we need for the hard crossings and the pauses we come to in life, sometimes caused by our own floods of destruction, cause a swelling of the river. And sometimes, we are just bystanders to the deluge helpless as we watch the waters rising.

But the Word tells us true. His Word declares our way.

He is the Lord our God.  He is the Holy One of Israel.

He is our Savior. He is always with us.

Praying this week that the waters of disbelief will not rise above your faith and that fear will not be able to take root in your heart as you pass through them, praying that you will not be overwhelmed as you stand by the rivers but will overcome  as He brings you through the other side of your destiny.
